St George’s Hall are delighted to announce The Art of Frank Green, a series of Artist Talks with Frank Green that will take place from Saturday 1st August until Saturday 29th August 2015 at St George’s Hall. These talks coincide with the Liverpool artist’s exhibition which is currently open to the public every day until Monday 31st August 2015.

Following on from the hugely successful Frank Green and the Welsh Builders exhibition at Plas Glyn-y-Weddw in North Wales earlier this year, Frank is now thrilled to be one of the first artists to have his work displayed at the new galleries at St George’s Hall.

Frank Green has been drawing and painting Liverpool cityscapes since he was a student at the Liverpool College of Art on Hope Street in the 1960s. His exhibition mainly focuses on pictures of Liverpool, but will also feature a selection of rarely-seen fine sepia drawings of Malta, as well as watercolours of France, Italy and Wales.

The special talks will give an exciting in-depth insight into Frank’s long-standing love of art, as well as his own experience as an artist. Frank will use projection to animate the talks and also demonstrate the theory and technique of his work.

The sessions will each last 40 minutes and will take place in the Reid Room of St George’s Hall on Saturday 1st, Thursday 20th, Saturday 22nd and Saturday 29th August. Each talk will begin at 2pm.

Tickets are priced at just £10 which includes admission to the exhibition and an opportunity for a Q and A with Frank after the talks. To book, call 0151 225 6903 or get tickets from St Georges Hall Shop. Early booking is advised due to limited capacity.
