Opening a chain of three businesses under the Italian Club brand in Liverpool has been a long time dream of the Italian-born Glaswegian Crolla, who has been working for years to create her own brand of high-quality, value for money, traditional Italian Cuisine. Her hearty recipes have had runaway success in Liverpool, the city she made her home away from home.
In an official statement to the press Crolla and her partner Maurizio Pelligrini say:
“Since we began, we’ve always wanted a café bar & restaurant devoted to Italian cuisine, another more formal version of a traditional Scottish Italian café dedicated to a fish-inspired menu plus a retail-led bakery.
“After winning several awards for The Italian Club including a Top 10 slot in foodie bible Olive Magazine’s Best UK Italian Restaurants, its spurred us on to open The Italian Club Fish.
“We won awards for Fish too and then set about launching our concept of an Italian bakery, previously unseen in the city.”
The Bakery itself serves a wide variety of goods, with an emphasis on Italian-style Millefoglie, speciality breads and celebration cakes.
