The LIMF Academy have been actively supporting emerging artists since it’s inception. Liverpool Live TV have been proud to support their work from the beginning, by filming and recording some the best new young acts in the North West with LLTV’s own team of “emerging talent” of film makers and editors.
In our first episode of Series 2 of our Red Sofa Sessions onTour with have the very excellent synth pop duo of Seattle Yacht Club performing their hit track “I Hate Goodbyes” exclusively for Liverpool Live TV’s cameras from The LIMF Academy Stage 2015.
Who are Seattle Yacht Club?
An English duo from Southport, UK, making Electro-pop music; Tom & Denis you would describe almost as brothers, best of friends having grown up next door to each other and have always shared a love of music; working their music together, playing in bands together and now, perfecting their sound into something they relish…producing melody driven electronically engaged Pop.
Following the release of their debut single ‘Same old questions’ and follow up Summer single ‘Feeling the Sunshine’ the Band have gained recent acclaim and continuing support from BBC 6 Music / Tom Robinson, Mixtape, BBC Introducing & Fresh on the net shows, XFM’s John Kennedy X-Posure and Hattie Pearson weekend show, and regular plays and interviews on Local BBC Introducing shows, Merseyside (Dave Monks) and Lancashire (Sean McGinty / The Guardian) Amazing Radio, Absolute Radio, UK National student and ILR – alongside regular adds to US & International radio stations and features on numerous music blog sites both here and abroad.
