With less than 4 months until Threshold Festival 2016 takes place in Liverpool, organisers have revealed the first six acts set to light up the Baltic Triangle’s stages in April.
Making a welcome return to the festival are genre-busting 13-piece The Destroyers as well as Threshold favourite Natalie McCool, along with first-timers Baba Soul & The Professors of Funk and local funk/dance/hip-hop purveyors, Galactic Funk Militia. Completing the first wave of artists are folk duo Gilmore & Roberts and Brighton’s finest psychadelic outfit, The Slytones.
The grassroots festival, which celebrates emerging music and arts from Liverpool and beyond is now in its sixth year and co-founder Chris Carney is looking forward to what he promises will be the biggest event in Threshold’s history.
“We’re very proud to welcome back some favourites and celebrate some amazing new acts to Threshold” Carney said.“We’ve still got a handful of weekend tickets still priced at an amazing £10 but selling fast; now is the time to snap one up.”
The festival is also set to continue its tradition of working closely with a variety of Merseyside promoters, having announced the involvement of Wirral festival Astral Coast, acoustic aficionados Mellowtone and Liverpool Acoustic, events collective Rebel Soul as well as Soulfest and Liverpool Calling.
Threshold Festival takes place from 1st-3rd April, 2016 across numerous venues in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle. Earlybird tickets are on sale now from thresholdfestival.co.uk.
