WHATS ON: Liverpool Lift-Off Film Festival | 12 – 14 March 2015

Liverpool Lift-Off Film FestivalComing to Liverpool this March is the Liverpool Lift-Off Film Festival, a unique event dedicated to the discovery and development of independent artists in the world of film. The festival aims to “Look beyond the gloss” and “Put talent before the technology,” judging all films entered on their own terms. A big budget and high-end production values don’t matter to Lift-Off – what’s really important is a skillful delivery of an honest, interesting story.

Part of Lift-Off International Film Festivals and one of six events that takes place in Las Vegas, LA, Amsterdam, London and Tokyo, the Liverpool leg of the festival is free to attend and will run between Thursday 12th and Saturday 14th of March 2015. Lift-Off’s objectives make for a truly diverse and distinctive programme, with professional, independent films being screened alongside student films. The festival also offers extensive feedback and grades for the submitted works, regardless of selection – another feature that makes Lift-Off so unique.
