Liverpool’s folk-pop singer/songwriter, Thom Morecroft is set to launch his new crowd-funded EP on 27th January 2016 at The Scandinavian Seamen’s Church.

Played on Radio 6 Music and described by ex-editor of NME, Q, Mojo and Word Paul Du Noyer as “cheering and addictive”, Thom Morecroft is a scruffy cherub of a folk-pop singer-songwriter from Shrewsbury, precariously hidden away somewhere along Liverpool’s Georgian Quarter.

‘Hand Me Down’ EP is the crowd-funded follow-up to single ‘On All Night’ and was recorded at Mayfield Gardens by John Mac and mastered by veteran engineer Jon Astley (Led Zeppelin, Peter Gabriel, Tori Amos). This playful, whimsical offering is a lo-fi self-release influenced by the slap-body finger-style pickings of John Martyn and the reflective melancholy of Big Star and Simon & Garfunkel.

Each of the four tracks is a little story about why the past is always of interest in the present tense. Thom will be promoting the new record with a tour of the UK and Germany over the early months of 2016.
