NEWS: Travis frontman Fran Healy to host Artist Drop-in Session at View Two

franhealyTravis frontman Fran Healy will be hosting an informal drop­-in session for the next generation of young artists in Liverpool on Wednesday 29th July 2015 at Mathew Street’s View Two Gallery. The event is run by the Featured Artists Coalition (FAC) – the organisation which campaigns for the protection of UK performers, fronted by a group of iconic British music artists – in association with ethical promoter Liverpool Acoustic​.

The drop­-in session will take place in the performance space at the View Two Gallery from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Attendance is free, but places are restricted to FAC Artist Members only and will be allocated on a ballot basis. Artists can register their interest by emailing To become a member visit

Formed in 2009 as a not­ for profit organisation funded by contributions from members, directors of the FAC include Sandie Shaw, Annie Lennox and Nick Mason of Pink Floyd.

Roxanne de Bastion, board member of the FAC and co­-host of the event said: “I’m really excited to bring the FAC drop­-in session to Liverpool. Teaming up established and up­-and­-coming artists to exchange experiences is so empowering.”

Previous drop-­in sessions in London have been hosted by Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien, Sandie Shaw, Jocelyn Brown and Dan Le Sac.

Graham Holland of Liverpool Acoustic said: “Liverpool Acoustic has a history of supporting the Merseyside music scene through our website, social media accounts and live music events, and we are delighted to be working with the FAC to provide valuable help and guidance to our talented local musicians.”

The drop-in session will be followed from 8.00pm to 9.30pm by live music from three FAC members. Doors for the music open at 7.45pm and is free for anyone to attend.
