WHATS ON: FestEvol | The Kazimier | 1 August & 8 August 2015

festevolEvol returns for its annual FestEvol celebration of the best music coming out of the Merseyside music scene. The event takes place at The Kazimier on Saturday 1st August, and then on Saturday 8th August 2015.

Due to the Kazimier closing on New Years day, this will be the final FestEvol event at the venue. Organisers are overjoyed that Dave McCabe & The Ramifications, The Serpent Power, All We Are and The Tea Street Band are this years headliners. They spearhead what is a rich, vibrant and well-rounded line-up, which reflects the current diversity, talent and range of the Liverpool music scene.

Independent local record label Skeleton Key Records also supplies two brand new groups –  Spectral Chorus and Tiger Tribe – to play on Saturday 1st August, both of who have singles in the pipeline.

Evol have also managed to secure the use of the adjacent warehouse next door to the Kazimier known as the Art Academy, making this year’s FestEvol even bigger than before. At this new venue, Bill Ryder-Jones and Immix Ensemble are collaborating on a specially commissioned piece of music performed live as a one off for FestEvol. Then to close the Art Academy in the dead of night the Kazimier’s very own Dogshow will amaze and enthrall with their Invisible Wind Factory. Sam Wiehl and Venya Krutikov have teamed up to provide an incredible AV spectacle throughout, and the new room will also host an Evol photographic exhibition by Michelle Roberts and an Evol Show Poster Retrospective.
