Jonathan Coley, who will be playing at Liverpool Acoustic Calling

The double award-winning Liverpool Acoustic is once again joining forces with the one day music celebration Liverpool Calling, to bring Liverpool Acoustic Calling to the city. This free musical event will be taking place between 1.00pm and 5.00pm on Saturday 25th July 2015 at Sound Food and Drink.

Liverpool Acoustic Calling is an afternoon full of fantastic acoustic, roots, singer-songwriter and folk music from some of the region’s most exciting performers. This event is free to attend and will also be hosted by Three Minute Hero (Liverpool Acoustic’s Stuart Todd) and K’s Choice’s Derek King.

Kicking off the event on the day will be Andy Bellis, followed by Liverpool’s lost singer-song writer David James Robertson, who is back home with a debut solo album. Then Australia’s own Little Bird will take to the stage, as well as Jonathan Coley, Kim Jennett and The Resurrection Men. Wrapping up the day will be Ellie Rose Smith, and finally Three Minute Hero and Derek King.

Liverpool Calling will also be taking place across four other city centre venues (St. Luke’s Bombed Out Church, The Magnet, Maguire’s Pizza Bar, Studio 2) on Saturday 25th July. Performing on the day will be Dexters, Beans On Toast, Reverend and the Makers, Broken Men, Allusondrugs, Tea Street Band, and many more. Wristbands for entry to all of these Liverpool Calling venues cost just £22 each (visit www.facebook.com/LiverpoolCallingFestival for more information).

Be sure to catch both Liverpool Acoustic Calling and Liverpool Calling this July for the best musical acts from across the city and also further afield.
