WHATS ON: Home | Unity Theatre | 24 & 25 November 2015

HomePremiering in Liverpool next week will be Home, a new multi-disciplinary production from Physical Lab’s Yorgos Karamalegos. The drama will be staged at Liverpool’s Unity Theatre on Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th November 2015, before it heads to London in January next year. TICKETS

Inspired by Euripides’ Medea, the show will delve into the story’s timeless study of political and social issues by immersing the audience in a world of powerful emotions and senses. Based on personal experiences, Home is a hero’s journey of a man seeking his inner voice, as he looks back in time to reflect on key moments of his life.

Directed by celebrated performer and physical acting teacher Yorgos Karamalegos, Home is his first main production after a decade co-creating work with Tmesis Theatre. The new production has also been created in collaboration with Yorgos’ new ensemble of international artists Despina Sidiropoulou and Tatiana Spivakova.

A universal story aimed at both regular theatregoers and new audiences, Home introduces an exhilarating combination of new text, poetry, voices, songs and rhythms, movement and stillness for a wider exploration of the definition of one’s home.
