Following sell-out performances in London, Regent’s Park Theatre’s critically acclaimed production of William Golding’s Lord of the Flies will be coming to the Liverpool Playhouse from Tuesday 2nd February until Saturday 6th February 2016. TICKETS

Adapted for the stage by Nigel Williams, this is an updated version of Golding’s original tale in which a group of schoolboys survive a catastrophic plane crash. However what starts as a desert island adventure quickly descends into a struggle to stay alive in a darkly sinister world of superstition and immorality.

Brought to the stage by Regent’s Park Theatre’s award-winning Artistic Director Timothy Sheader, the production is also designed by Jon Bausor who created the iconic sets for Ghost Stories and No Wise Men at the Playhouse in recent years. Lord of the Flies is no less impactful, with an entire plane set to dominate the stage.

The cast of young actors includes Luke Ward-Wilkinson who has appeared regularly in television series Wild at Heart (ITV) and Beautiful People (BBC) and Freddie Watkins whose film credits include Nativity and Nativity 2. Both Luke and Freddie are making their stage debuts in the play. The rest of the cast are Michael Ajao, Matthew Castle, Yossi Goodlink, Jonathan Holby, Dylan Llewellyn, Keenan Munn-Francis Fellipe Pigatto, Thiago Pigatto and Anthony Roberts.

A remarkable production in which William Golding’s 20th Century classic explodes onto the stage, this is a bold and thrilling vision of the iconic book, and one certainly not to be missed.
