COMING UP: Beatles day at Albert Dock, 10 July 2012

On Tuesday 10th July the Albert Dock will be celebrating all things Fab Four, as Beatles Day reaches its fifth year! This year there will be a variety of acts performing at the Albert Dock in the Anchor Courtyard including performances from Liverpool Ukulele Orchestra, Liverpool Signing Choir, A Band Named King, and Telegraph Road.

Beatles Day is an opportunity for the community of Liverpool to get together and celebrate the musical legacy of The Beatles, with a variety of artists from different styles performing throughout the day. It is also a chance to help raise money for the Beatles Day Foundation, which contributes money to various Liverpool charities.

This year the celebrations will take place in the Anchor Courtyard, perfectly situated in between the world famous Beatles Story, and The Yellow Duckmarine.

Chas Cole, CMP Entertainment said: “Beatles Day has gone from strength to strength and we are delighted to call the Albert Dock home in our 5th year. The Day is a celebration of all things Liverpool; the music and fashion that cemented the Beatles into the history books to the humour, energy and vibrancy makes Liverpool such an amazing place to be. We hope that young and old will come down to the Dock to join in all the fun for Beatles Day 2012.”
