Billy The Kid
is a Vancouver – Canada singer/songwriter, and has collaborated with such artists as Garth Hudson from The Band and Bob Dylan, Randy Cooke of Dave Stewart’s Rock Fabulous Orchestra and Ringo Starr and Stan “the Baron” Behrens, who played harmonica for Willie Dixon, Ruth Brown and the Four Tops. She will be performing at Eric’s on 30th January as part of her ‘Long Way From Home’ tour.

Also attaining during her career the number One position on Much Loud’s charts, The Kid being hand-picked to perform as a part of the legendary Warped Tour, featured Indie Spotlight/Folk Music Spotlight on iTunes Canada, an MSN Sympatico Indiscover Featured Artist, nominated for XM Radio’s The Verge Artist of the Year, holding the top two positions on Earshot’s college listings, radio and television support, winner of three Georgia Straight Reader’s Choice Awards and more.

In 2010 Billy the Kid began a crowd sourcing campaign to fund her debut full-length album. In addition to pre-orders and specialized bundles, she traveled across the continent to play fundraisers, anniversaries, birthday parties and private concerts as well as go camping, white water rafting and rock climbing with fans. The result was the appropriately titled album “Ours”.

Her debut release The Lost Cause was produced and engineered by Raine Maida, lead singer of Canadian rock band Our Lady Peace. The Lost Cause started with “Fun Is Number One” and ended with “Give Back”. It reads like a timeline of how we found our own way and, in doing so, she realized it is now our turn to give back. By donating to the Lost Cause you’re helping to create a scholarship for foster kids who seek post-secondary education as a means of “Finding Their Own Way”, give guitars to schools in low rent areas and donate to programs helping street kids and drug affected youth.

Billy now releases her new album “Stars, Exploding” available on iTunes.
