COMING UP: The Toy Hearts, View Two Gallery, 25 Jan 2013

The Toy Hearts
will be headlining the award-winning Liverpool Acoustic Live on Friday 25th January – just one of a series of UK and European dates for the Birmingham-based band before they relocate to Austin, Texas for six months from May.

The Toy Hearts are no stranger to Liverpool, having enjoyed two sold out appearances at Grateful Fred’s Roots and Acoustic Nights in Formby. Colin Maddocks, Grateful Fred’s organiser, says: “The Toy Hearts are my all-time favourite live acoustic band. Each member is a real master of their instrument and together they set the stage on fire. We could have sold out each night twice over. If you can make it, get your tickets now. I promise you will not be disappointed, and this could turn out to be one of the best concerts you will enjoy in 2013.”

Sister-fronted outfit The Toy Hearts have a reputation for delivering some of the most authentic performances of American Roots music this side of the Atlantic. With a growing fan base that now includes Bob Harris, Ronnie Wood and Imelda May, their previous work has won them accolades across the UK, Europe and the USA, and their current album ‘Whiskey’ is further evidence that they are successfully paving a path that no other UK act dares to tread. The Toy Hearts are inspired by Western Swing, Rockabilly, Bluegrass, Jazz and Blues, while also developing their own unique sound and bringing this music firmly into the 21st Century.
