LIMF 2013: Turn Up The Radio stage at the Pier Head

On Saturday 24th August some of the biggest names in radio are set to bring the Pier Head stage to life with a live chart hits extravaganza! From girl bands of the moment such as Little Mix and Stooshe, right though to Union J and JLS (cue screaming fans).

The line-up also includes new indie favourites The Vamps and the dulcet tones of Charlie Brown, Diana Vickers, Eliza Doolittle, Tich and A*M*E – we can safely say the pop box has been ticked. Last but certainly not least, let’s not forget headliners JLS who are dropping in as part of their farewell tour.

And your favourites won’t just wow you with a few songs – each act is playing a full set. What more would you expect from the capital of pop?

Liverpool City Council’s cabinet member for culture and tourism, Councillor Wendy Simon, said: “It’s great to see the festival celebrating the very best of pop music, giving fans the chance to see chart-toppers at an affordable price – and all in the stunning surroundings of our World Heritage Site.

“This is the inaugural LIMF, and we’ve already set the bar high. The Saturday line-up is packed with household names which will have mass appeal.”

LIMF’s music curator, Yaw Owusu, said: “This festival is focused on three things; celebrating greatness, discovering the new and inspiring the next. We want people to discover the DNA of a global music city and be surprised and inspired by the collection and scope of artists, spaces, events and collaborations in place.”

The Turn Up The Rdaio event will eb at the Pier Head on Staurday 24th August from 1pm-9pm. Tickets are just £20 (plus booking fee). Call 08448 24 48 24 or buy your tickets online by following the link TICKETS.
