Miss Liverpool contestants attempt Zumba world record

zumba-recordTo raise money for the Marina Dalglish Appeal, the organisation behind Miss Liverpool 2012 will be attempting to break the World Record for the biggest ever Zumba class. The event will take place in the car park of Tesco Old Swan on Sunday 11th March at 4pm with stars of Desperate Scousewives joining top Zumba instructor, Karen Moore who will show just how it’s done.

An infectious fusion of samba, rumba, merengue, reggaeton, flamenco and hip hop, Zumba is the latest keep fit craze with its easy to follow, high-energy routines. Over 2,000 people will attempt to dance their way into the Guinness World Record books.

It’s easy to join in with this exciting record attempt. Simply turn up on the day between 3:00pm and 4:45pm to register with the Zumba kicking off at 5:00pm. Entry costs just £3 and all proceeds will go towards local cancer charity the Marina Dalglish Appeal.
