NEWS: Blakes restaurant at Hard Days Night Hotel launches Spring Menu ‘Here Comes The Sun’


The award-winning Blakes Restaurant at Hard Days Night Hotel has launched its new A La Carte Spring menu entitled ‘Here Comes The Sun’. Executive Head Chef Paul Feery and his team have created an array of mouth-watering dishes that are perfect for the warmer months.

Starters include Scallops with Babaganosh and Pomegranate Dressing, a twist on the Classic BLT and traditional Thai Crab Spring Rolls.

Guests can also enjoy an impressive and diverse selection of main courses such as Mustard Herb Rack of Lamb, served with Fondant Potato, Broad Beans, Peas, and Mint Jus, Loin of Cod Poached in Red Wine, served with Puy Lentils and Gremolata or African Spiced Roasted Monkfish, served with Pak Choi and Red Pepper.

To finish, delicious desserts include Lemoncello Cheesecake, served with Candied Lemons and Vanilla Ice Cream, Vanilla Pannacotta served with Warm Poached Rhubarb or Warm Chocolate Fondant, served with Raspberries.

Paul said: “When devising the new menu, the team and I really wanted to keep the best of what’s been before, while also creating some new and exciting Spring dishes that would undoubtedly delight our guests.

“Here at Blakes, we really do pride ourselves on sourcing the finest local ingredients to create a modern menu, that embraces the finest of the new season’s produce. Our main aim is to create outstanding food that is truly bursting with flavour.”

Named after the celebrated pop artist Sir Peter Blake who created the iconic artwork for the Sgt Peppers album cover, Blakes Restaurant boasts wall-to-wall original Beatles artwork including a centrepiece display of 60 images of icons from the album’s sleeve.
