NEWS: The Floral Pavilion announce cast for Peter Pan panto

The Floral Pavilion has announced the cast for their magical pantomime, Peter Pan. Running from 13th December until 6th January it promises to be a spectacular show for all the family. The role of Peter Pan will be taken by Jack McMullen, who is best known for playing Finn Sharkey in Waterloo Road, along with Hollyoaks bad boy Gary Turner and Milkshake’s Derek Moran.

Although Jack McMullen (Peter Pan) is very well known for his role in Waterloo Road he is no stranger to our TV screens. Last Christmas Jack appeared in the lead role of Freddie in ITV1’s drama Fast Freddie with Laurence Fox. During his time in Brookside Jack won the British Soap award for Best Newcomer and Best on Screen Partnership.

Gary Turner, otherwise known as Carlos Diaz in Yorkshire Television’s Emmerdale and the evil Nathan Blake in Hollyoaks – Let Loose will be the dastardly Captain Hook which we all love to hate! His evil gang of pirates will be made up of the comedy acrobats, The Nitwits, that are sure to cause mayhem flipping all over the pirate ship!

And for the younger members of the family Derek Moran will be joining the cast as the hilarious Smee, direct from Channel 5’s Milkshake, Derek will have the audience young and old laughing in the aisles as he brings a true touch of panto magic to the spectacular show.

The theatre is going to be adapted to bring the magic of Peter Pan above the heads of the audience as the cast fly off to Neverland, the technical team are busy planning this operation and were surprised to discover that there was a little more to it than a sprinkling of fairy dust! The panto’s fairy, Tinker Bell, will however be on hand to help, although it is rumoured she will be on roller skates and so may be a little hard to pin down!

The show has already had record advanced sales and so it is recommend that you “hook” your tickets early for what will be the perfect way to celebrate the festive season in a traditional way with fun and laughs for all the family!
