OUR PICKS: Easter 2013

International Chocolate Appreciation Day is fast approaching, complete with two-week school holiday and a spring basket of themed events for the little ones (plus a few to keep the adults entertained, too). We’ve put together some of the options available below…

There’s plenty going on to keep the kids occupied while you steal their Creme Eggs. Church Farm, Wirral are holding their annual Easter Egg Hunt from Good Friday-Easter Monday, with games, puzzles and riddles to solve before the treasures can be found. Think Crystal Maze with edible prizes. INFO

Another maze can be explored at Active Adventures Liverpool (Otterspool), where you’ll have to track the tricky Easter Bunny to claim your eggs. INFO

The Albert Dock is hosting one of the UK’s oldest carousels where the 26 hand-crafted horses have entertained families for one hundred and twenty seven years, while the Walker Art Gallery is holding Easter Craft sessions throughout the holidays.

Farmer Ted’s, Ormskirk is putting away the Farmageddon terrors for a more family-friendly easter weekend with Falconry shows, sheep races and their huge adventure play area. INFO

The Moscow State Circus is calling Sefton Park home from 27 March – 7 April TICKETS

The monthly Baltic Art and Craft Fair takes place 29 March at Camp and Furnace with a special Easter Theme, with workshops and live music. Free Entry. INFO

Liverpool Cathedral are producing the Liverpool Passion Plays telling the traditional Christian Easter Story over 3 days, 25-27 March. INFO

And CIRCUS are bringing the holidays to a close with their Easter Sunday Party on March 31st. TICKETS
