PHOTO REVIEW: Africa Oye – Day Two @ Sefton Park 19/06/11

Revellers enjoyed another fun packed day at the Africa Oye festival on Sunday. The event, celebrating its 20th anniversary, took place in a sunkissed Sefton Park with crowds of over 20,000 on both days.

The event is the UK’s largest festival of African inspired arts and music and continues to grow in size and stature

The wonderful African music had a slower pace to that of yesterday as the festival enjoyed a more chilled out and relaxed vibe than Saturday. The good weather and relaxed atmosphere brought more families to the park, with bouncy castles and face painting ensuring the kids had a great time.

It was an amazing festival with organisers proclaiming it the best yet. Liverpool Live are really looking forward to next years event and hope that it keeps its spirit and remains a free event for all the community to enjoy.
