Star of stage and screen Patricia Routledge is Facing the Music at LJMU

Birkenhead born actress Patricia Routledge will appear in a special evening of entertainment to raise funds for Liverpool John Moores University’s Scholarship fund. The event takes place at LJMU Art & Design academy on Wed 2nd November 2011

BBC viewers voted her Britain’s all-time favourite actress, for stage and screen roles that have included the unforgettable Hyacinth Bucket and the indomitable Hetty Wainthropp, but few people know the full extent of Patricia Routledge’s musical theatre career on both sides of the Atlantic. It’s one of the best kept secrets in showbusiness.

With writer and broadcaster Edward Seckerson, this will be a memorable evening of music, theatrical anecdote and humour as Patricia and Edward chew over some of the shows and performances that “got away”.
