#theLoft Exclusive: Lucy Spraggan

Lucy Spraggan called into Liverpool Live TV’s studio recently, whilst on tour and playing at the East Village Arts Club. Lucy and Ben on keys; perform an exclusive version of “Coming down” from the NEW album “We Are”.

23-year-old Lucy Spraggan released her record “Top Room At The Zoo” in 2011. After auditioning for The X Factor in 2012 with her own track “Last Night”, the song reached #11 in the UK singles chart and the album entered the UK albums chart at #22. Unfortunately leaving The X Factor due to illness, Lucy came back the following year with her debut studio album “Join The Club”, which reached #7 in the UK albums chart.

Her new album “We Are” was recorded in London and features 12 tracks that are a collection of sincere ballads and inspiring folk-tinged pop songs told in Lucy’s direct storytelling style about every day life. Lucy Spraggan says; “I’m very much looking forward to releasing “We Are” under my own steam. The album is basically a diary of the ups and downs of the last few years; appearing on The X Factor, moving to London, working hard and changing as a person. In some ways writing this record has been a bit of documentation for me and some of the songs are pretty revealing but I’m looking forward to sharing them.”
