There’s now just over a week to go until the brilliant Threshold V turns Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle into a melting pot of creativity. Taking place across several venues in the district from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th March 2015, the festival is a celebration of the creative Liverpool scenes and a showcase of best local grassroots arts and music in the city. Among the promoters at this year’s festival will be DIY punk scene monarchs Antipop, returning to Threshold for the fifth year running with their show which will include a headliner from Super Fast Girlie Show. Veteran folk promoters Mellowtone will have sets from Alx Greene, Me & Deboe and Henry Pulp, and the award-winning Liverpool Acoustic will have performances from Nora Konstanse and The Ragamuffins.

Also returning with some incredible music from Dead Hedge Trio, Hedge Gods and the great Paddy Steer will be leftfield promoters Rebel Soul. And bringing the usual grassroots grooves will be the brilliant Soul 4 Soul, showcasing acts such as Pieces of a Man, Mersey Wylie and VYNCE, before headliner Akala takes to the stage.

Holding it down for the peninsula will be a host of partners including acclaimed music festivals Astral Coast with Seawitches and Farm Feast, as well as Wirral promoters Home Grown Bananas and #SRCZ with a host of great music including Vanessa Murray and Thom Morecroft.

The LLTV cameras will be around the festival capturing the weird and wonderful and look out for some exclusive pop up acoustic performances with our famous Red Sofa Sessions.

The Lantern Theatre will host Twisted Cabaret on Friday 27th with The Mersey Belles, Headstrung Puppet Cabaret, Legion of Doom, Funke and The Two Tone Baby and Impropriety among the diverse line up

Amongst the exciting new collaborations at the festival will be the artist development wing of Liverpool International Music Festival, LIMF Academy. Taking place on Sunday 29th March at Constellations as the festival draws to a close, the LIMF Academy will include performances from 2015 GIT Award Shortlisted XAMVolo, Katy Alex and Sub Blue.

Another new addition to the festival will be Firehouse Promotions Evolution of the Groove which will bring together 12 DJs over 12 hours playing 12 different genres of music, with sets from Mr. Paul, Mixnots, Beaten Tracks DJs, The Chicken Brothers, and Buddha. Monster Sound Collective will also bring a brand new take on the Battle of the Bands format to the festival, with 6 bands, 3 battles, 2 stages and 1 night of Alternative/Experimental/Math/Post-Rock. The night at Blade Factory will include battles from (ATLAS), Lost in The Riots, Pocket Apocalypse and more.

Lastly another new partnership at this year’s festival with subversive promoters Drop The Dime will give the festival one of its strongest line-ups, including sets from Natalie McCool, Silent Cities, Etches, Edge of Eden and D R O H N E, another 2015 GIT Nominee.
